Blogger Idol 2012: Week 4 – It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s Me Begging For Votes!

It’s that time again!

Time for me to grovel for votes.

I’ve survived another week, but there’s no guarantee I’ll survive this one, and I DEFINITELY won’t without your help.

blogger idol, american idol, competition, contest, pile of babies, martinis and minivans, interview, play-at-home, daddy knows less, parenting, dads, moms, toddlers

This week we had to pretend we were superheroes. I love superheroes. So it would seem like it’s in my wheelhouse. But it wasn’t an easy one to write.

I think I did okay. Based on the judges’ feedback, they seem to think so too. But this contest, like American Idol, is ALL ABOUT FAN VOTES.

So please, head over to Blogger Idol, read my post, maybe even read some of the other posts, and then vote for me. I promise that, as usual, there are references to drinking, a few swears, and this time around I even mention multiple orgasms. Fisting may or may not even be a theme. Find out for yourself!

Read it HERE.

Vote for me HERE.

If things go well and I continue to survive, there will only be EIGHT MORE WEEKS of me harassing you! Hooray! Of course, if things DON’T go well and you are the reason my dreams are crushed and my son grows up with a broken man for a father, I will harass you for the rest of my life.

So thanks! And good luck!

AND VOTE!

  1. I read, I voted. For you. I just love your attitude towards parenting. We all grumble about it, but you give life to that voice we as parents all try to “make go away”. It isn’t all hearts and flowers and shit, and I like that about your blog. Good luck! I really enjoyed your post. I thought this was a great challenge! I played the at home game, and am really surprised that only two others have joined me so far. Mine was totally lame and stupid, but my husband and I had a great time laughing over it while we concocted it in our underground lair this weekend. Here’s hoping you survive to the end–of Blogger Idol and of Timesucks childhood. Here’s my entry if you care to have a look see.

      1. Thank you. I have actually done all four and have had a great time. Maybe I’m at my best when I’m told what to do, and just barely follow the rules. Ha ha. Who knows. It seems like when I read the challenges, I just know exactly what I want to do, I wish my regular blogging life was that way. Most days I struggle to find “meaningful”-pffffttttt-content. Epic fail after epic fail. I just don’t do meaningful content. 😉
