Stumbled across this Australian Public Service Announcement, and it reminded me of the Mirror Mirror post a few weeks ago. It basically shows what I told.
Apparently the ad was banned, which is a shame, because I think it’s pretty effective.

I see the message, and I think I know why they banned it, because it did not show enough of what a positive influence can do. However, this is correct; children’s minds are like carbon paper, they only retain what is written on them.
I would like to see it redone, longer, with a couple more positive behaviors listed. One thing my oldest daughter told me was “Daddy, I know I will love and respect my fiancé, because you and mom show love and respect to each other.
I think Proverbs 22:6 says it the best, “Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.”
