It’s been a busy September for the Buried clan!

Detective Munch started school, Mom and Buried and I went on a babymoon (I hate that word but I give up), and just yesterday we moved into a new, bigger apartment. Don’t worry, we’re still in Brooklyn.

Due to everything going on with the move, I’m unfortunately not going to have a Wordless Wednesday post for you today. I’m the worst. But I do have some other goodies to share, just in time for decorative gourd season!

Having kids is different for everybody.

There are some broad similarities, but when you get down to the nitty-gritty, nothing is exactly the same. We’re all different people, our kids are all unique individuals, snowflakes, etc.

But I don’t care if you’re rich or poor, live in New Zealand or Alaska, have one kid or twelve, there’s one universal constant to being a parent: you’re always tired.

Choosing a Baby Name

Choosing a name for your kid is never easy. Especially the second time around.

When things are purely hypothetical, it’s a cakewalk. It’s when the timeline starts shrinking that the panic sets in.

Mom and Buried and I had a little trouble the first time, and things haven’t gotten any easier as we approach the third trimester with our second son. In fact, they’ve gotten much harder. Not only do we have to agree again, the name has to fit with the first kid!

If we have a third (NO CHANCE IN HELL), one of us might lose a limb.
