I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty nervous about impending baby number two.

While I’m excited to have a new child to mock for your entertainment, the thought of having to suddenly take care of a helpless baby again is not filling me with joy. The little I remember of the last experience isn’t exactly sunshine and roses.

Lots of late nights, loss of sleep, extra laundry, messy kitchen, the list goes on. But there was one silver lining: I caught up on a lot of my favorite shows!

[E-Card] Sleep Technique

Having kids is different for everybody.

There are some broad similarities, but when you get down to the nitty-gritty, nothing is exactly the same. We’re all different people, our kids are all unique individuals, snowflakes, etc.

But I don’t care if you’re rich or poor, live in New Zealand or Alaska, have one kid or twelve, there’s one universal constant to being a parent: you’re always tired.

Allergic Reaction

Allergic Reaction

Every once in a while, particularly during the back-to-school season, we see a flurry of blog posts and articles about allergies.

The posts typically concern one of two things, depending on the proclivities of the author:

1) Please don’t bring [this thing that my child is deathly allergic to] to school, I’m begging you! or;
2) Whatever, I don’t care if your kid dies.

My son has a pretty severe tree nut allergy. Guess which category this post falls into?

Married with Children

Married with Children

Today is my wedding anniversary.

This is a big year for Mom and Buried and me. Not necessarily because the eighth anniversary is a milestone, or that our eleventh year together is a milestone. No, it’s a big year because after surviving the newborn/baby/toddler gauntlet, we are about to re-enter the arena.

Something tells me that, come January, when we’re officially “married with children,” we’ll need to be more united than ever.

Mom and Buried and I just had some, when we went away on a babymoon for a few days over the weekend.
